25th Annual Holiday Tip Off

December 16th and 17th
The Tucson Holiday Tip-Off is held every year in December. This will be the 25th Anniversary of the tournament that started Sporting Chance! Games begin Friday evening and conclude Sunday early evening. Teams are guaranteed a minimum of 4 games. We typically attract 40-60 Boys teams 9u through 14u (3rd – 8th grade) and Girls teams 12u and 14u (6th & 8th grade) from the Southwest. Hardwood Hoops Holiday Camp 2017

December 22nd
Hardwood Hoops will be hosting a one day camp from 9am to 1pm. This camp is perfect to learn skills in order to help children advance their knowledge of basketball. This camp is open for children in 3rd grade through 8th grade. For more information, please visit their page.

SAVA Preseason Invitational

December 30th
Southern Arizona Volleyball Academy will be hosting a preseason invitational to kick off the club volleyball season. SAVA is a club organization for girl’s volleyball dedicated to training players from youth level all the way to 18U. Cactus Classic

January 13th, 14th, and 15th
The Cactus Classic Invitational is a three-day volleyball tournament held annually in Tucson, Arizona over MLK Weekend.  More than 150 volleyball teams are scheduled to compete at the at the Tucson Convention Center and Sporting Chance Center. The main objective of the Cactus Classic is to provide a high quality, competitive, and fun event – giving athletes the opportunity to play in a major three-day tournament.  For more information, please visit their website.

February 3rd and 24th

Special Olympics Coronado Regional Tournament

February 10th
Over 1,000 athletes compete in one day or two-day tournaments for both Unified and Traditional basketball. Teams are placed into divisions based on age, gender and ability level. Cheerleading is offered on Saturday of the competition.  For more information, please visit their website.

Hardwood Hoops President’s Day Tournament

February 17th and 18th
The President’s Day Tournament is a youth tournament to welcome boy’s and girl’s teams to compete during the holiday weekend before Hardwood Hoops kicks off their Spring season in March. For more information, please visit their website.

 


March  2018

Arizona Middle School State Basketball Championship

March 2nd, 3rd, and 4th
On this weekend, the top teams in the state will meet in Tucson to battle it out for the 2nd annual Arizona Middle School Basketball Championship. This grade-based Championship is for boys and girls from 4th to 8th grade. It also has separate divisions, multiple levels and is for school/feeder and club/all-star teams. After a long regular season playing against other teams in your area, the State Basketball Championship offers teams the shot to compete against fresh faces from all corners of the state, instead of those they play every weekend. This is not your ordinary league tournament, but rather the chance of a lifetime for all kids… “Remember the time we went to State!?!” For more information, please visit their tournament page.

2018 American Pole League Event 

May 19th
Experience a unique event with the American Pole League. Dancers will be competing in this one-of-a-kind sport to qualify for the 2018 World Pole Dance Championships.

Hardwood Hoops Memorial Day Classic

May 25th, 26th 27th 28th
Hardwood Hoops runs 5 tournaments per year – three youth tournaments and two high school tournaments.  The youth tournaments are run in February, June, and November.  The high school tournaments are run in May and June. The Memorial Day Classic is a grand four day tournament where high school teams compete to take home the prestigious title of Memorial Day Classic Tournament Champions. Hardwood Hoops June Jamboree

June 10th and 11th
The June Jamboree is a youth tournament where teams start off their summer by competing to take home the championship title. For more information, please visit their website.

The Southwest Showdown  is a high school tournament where teams from the Southwest area compete against each other in a tournament to prove who will earn the title of the Southwest Showdown Champions. For more information, please visit their website.

25th Annual Summer Slam Tournament

July 13th, 14th, and 15th
The Summer Slam has been a tradition in Tucson since 1994. It is one of the largest tournaments in the Southwest, attracting a diverse mix of teams — including teams from the Western US and Mexico – that makes it a unique and competitive experience.
