February 2019

Global Elite FC – Adult Pick-Up Thursdays

Thursdays 8:30 pm – 10 pm
Global Elite FC is bringing adult futsal to Sporting Chance Center!! You don’t need to register, pay ahead or even bring a ball, just drop in and catch a few fast-paced 5v5 futsal pick up games with your friends! For more information on this event, go to their program page.

 

Global Elite FC – BASE and CORE Programs

January – March
Global Elite FC is only the second Futsal program in Arizona to be sanctioned by US Youth Futsal. Futsal is a fast-paced 5-a-side indoor soccer game that is widely played across the world and is officially recognized by both USSF and FIFA. While it can be a sport in its own right, Futsal does not compete with mainstream soccer, but serves to support it. For more information on the programs and other Global Elite events check out their event page.

 

AZ Region Volleyball

February 23rd
AZ Region volleyball holds tournaments all over Arizona for club volleyball. The AZ Region tournaments hosts a large number of teams that compete to earn championship titles. For more information, check out their page.


March 2019

AZ Middle School Basketball State Championships

March 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
The biggest basketball event of the year is near! The top teams in the state will meet in Tucson to battle it out for the 3rd annual Arizona Middle School Basketball Championship. After a long regular season playing against other teams in your area, the State Basketball Championship offers teams the shot to compete against fresh faces from all corners of the state. This is not your ordinary league tournament, but rather the chance of a lifetime for all kids… “Remember the time we went to State!?!” We’ll be glad to see many familiar faces!! Lute Olson Basketball Academy – Spring I Session

Sundays and Wednesdays | March 6th – April 14th
Registrations are open! Classes for Beginners/Intermediate students start on March 6th, and Advanced students will start March 10th!

LOBA coaches incorporate drills and training exercises from some of the best college, high school and even European coaches and programs throughout the world.  LOBA can help anyone — from the 6 year old beginner to the elite high school or club player seeking a D-1 scholarship – become the best player they can be.

Tucson Spartans – March Massacre Basketball Tournament

March 15th, 16th, and 17th

Spartans is back with their 7th annual March Massacre event! The Tucson Spartans Basketball Program is a 501(c) 3, non-profit; all volunteer Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) basketball organization. In addition to hosting this annual tournament, their basketball program consists of young athletes in and around the Tucson area. They participate in local basketball leagues and tournaments, as well as competitive play out of town on a regular basis. For more information, please visit their website.

Hardwood Hoops continues its Spring League. The Spring League runs Saturdays starting in April and continues into May. Hardwood Hoops – Memorial Day Classic

May 24th, 25th, and 26th
Hardwood Hoops runs 5 tournaments per year – three youth tournaments and two high school tournaments.  The youth tournaments are run in February, June, and November.  The high school tournaments are run in May and June. The Memorial Day Classic is a grand four day tournament where high school teams compete to take home the prestigious title of Memorial Day Classic Tournament Champions. June 2019

Hardwood Hoops Southwest Showdown

The Southwest Showdown is a high school tournament where teams from the Southwest area compete against each other in a tournament to prove who will earn the title of the Southwest Showdown Champions. For more information, please visit their website.


July 2019

Summer Slam 

July 19th, 20th, and 21th
The Summer Slam tournament has been a tradition in Tucson since 1994. Entering its 26th year, it is one of the largest tournaments in the Southwest, attracting a diverse mix of teams — including teams from the Western US and Mexico – that makes it a unique and competitive experience. August 2019
