THE CENTER STAFF
Tom Carle – General Manager / Certified Food Safety Manager
Tom has been in Tucson for over 50 years, and has built a career- and a life – managing sports events, leagues, and facilities. He also – and don’t hold this against him! – is a long-time AIA basketball/volleyball referee and baseball/softball umpire. Chances are if you have been involved in youth sports in Tucson in the last 48 years, you have come across Tom. His job is to keep the Center running like clockwork. When you visit the Center, say hello to Tom, and should you need anything, he will take care of it for you.
Maria Moreno – Finance Manager
Maria is a native of the southwest and almost a native Tucsonan. Upon graduating from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s Degree in General Business, Maria worked in the financial services industry for 13 years. Her entrepreneurial spirit, lead her to develop a print and design business, NUVO Print & Design, which offered print solutions to individuals and small businesses. Additionally, Maria has extensive experience as a bookkeeper and tax preparation specialist. Since 2018 her skills and experience are a welcome addition to the administration of the Center.
Navine Mallon – Facility Coordinator / Certified Food Safety Manager
Navine has been with the Sporting Chance Center since July of 2021, following in the footsteps of her two older siblings. She has worked her way up to be a facility manager, she is currently in high school but plans on continuing her education and basketball/track career over the next couple of years in college. Her inclusiveness and friendly attitude is what allows her to get along with coworkers and the customers. The center wouldn’t be the same without her.
Jasmine Majonica – Facility Coordinator / Certified Food Safety Manager
Jasmine has been working at the SCC since August 2021. She is currently a student-athlete attending Pima Community College. Having played softball for nine years of her life, playing at the next level is a dream come true. Jasmine learned how to take leadership on and off the field and she has done an outstanding job applying that here at the facility. What makes Jasmine such a helping hand around the center is her dedication and honesty.
